Engenion Release 2024.1: Visual OAV structure and new user interface
New visual OAV structure and revised user interface optimise project organization and intuitive use of Engenion.
Stuttgart, 01 July - The 2024.1 release of the Engenion project portfolio management solution brings numerous new features, enhancements and bug fixes that significantly improve the user experience, project management capabilities and overall performance of the system.
Visual OAV structure ensures optimised project management
Engenion 2024.1 introduces a new visual OBJECT ACTIVITY VALUE structure (OAV structure) that significantly improves the organisation and navigation within projects. Compared to the classic work-breakdown structure of conventional PPM solutions, the OAV structure enables precise allocation of products and services to individual projects and creates end-to-end transparency with regard to project affiliation, budget responsibility and development costs. Standard templates ensure consistent project set-up and the integration of OAV structures in the planning phase. This ensures compliance with organisational standards and facilitates efficient project management.
The revised user interface and modernised design make Engenion intuitive and visually appealing to use. In addition, the new portfolio staffing functions allow projects to be prioritised based on strategic objectives. Extended filter options, the comparison of capacities and hourly allocations as well as the consideration of personnel costs enable proactive management of personnel resources.
Thanks to the new History Services, users receive detailed insights into data and configuration adjustments and a constant overview of project-specific changes.
The Discussion Board also optimises targeted communication and collaboration. Users can now initiate discussions within modules, projects or specific topics. Precise labelling and tags for individual discussions ensure efficient navigation and collaboration.
Flexible function expansion and optimised project tracking
Engenion 2024.1 also brings numerous other optimisations to existing features. These include the introduction of milestones and billing periods for improved project tracking, a dynamic feature flag management system for flexible feature enhancements and optimisations within job roles and rates. The new two-level hierarchy for objects improves data organisation, and projects can now be flexibly staffed from all employees. Rights and authorisation management has also been optimised, currency units have been made customisable and technological upgrades and bug fixes have been implemented.
